About Alexa Stevenson

After working for shelter magazine group Cottages & Gardens Publications and British designer William Yeoward’s luxury brand, Alexa launched her design firm, Alexa Stevenson Interior Decoration, in 2010. She brings her editor’s eye to the spaces she creates and her bright and happy interiors show off her deft hand at combining style and an impeccable sense of color with functionality. Her spaces reveal her devotion to the traditional but enlivened with a fresh and energetic approach. Alexa believes a house should above all things be livable and comfortable, and that nothing is better than a space that makes you happy to come home to. After 13 years in New York City, Alexa recently relocated to Athens, Ga., where she continues to work with clients across the country.

You can also find her work on InteriorDesign.net, where she is contributing editor, Curbed.com and in Cottages & Gardens Publications.

A client recently introduced me to a friend as “the woman who magically transformed my life” and that, to me, is more important than anyone bragging over a sofa I designed or a pair of lamps I’ve dug up from an antique mall.
